Speculation had run rampant all day that either Cooper or longtime Buffalo coach Lindy Ruff would be the Bolts next bench boss.
Cooper is in his third season as coach of the Lightning’s AHL affiliate in Syracuse. The 45 year old is a winner as he won the USHL championship in 2010 and was the AHL Coach Of The Year after directing the Norfolk Admirals to the Calder Cup championship last season. (Photo/Susan Ferlita)
