Report: Miami Heat inquired about adding Lance Stephenson

Just looking at the title, you would be surprised to know that the Miami Heat inquired about adding the likes of Indiana Pacers guard Lance Stephenson.

Stephenson, who gave the Heat so much trouble in the Eastern Conference Finals on the offensive and defensive side of the ball, also gave LeBron James fits on the mental side of the game. But that still didn’t stop the Heat from thinking about acquiring Stephenson according to Ethan Skolnick of Bleacher Report.

And they’ve even tried to entice some talents you wouldn’t expect, such as Pacers‘ agitator Lance Stephenson. That report, from ESPN’s Dan LeBatard, may have surprised some, considering that James, Wade, Bosh and the rest of the Heat became weary of what Ray Allen labeled “buffoonery” during the recent Eastern Conference finals. But it shouldn’t, if you know how strongly James feels about simply adding talent that can assist his championship aspirations, even if it comes with some attitude.

Could you just imagine LeBron James on the same team with Lance Stephenson? I could even though Stephenson blew in James’ ear during the Eastern Conference Finals but putting him on the Heat would give them some much needed attitude.

It’s not farfetched to think that Stephenson and James can co-exist on the same team. I mean the Heat added the likes of Josh McRoberts and Danny Granger, Granger dislikes LBJ going back to their Cavaliers-Pacers days. We will ultimately see where James goes as we are still waiting for his decision.
