Before the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles play on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 pm, the Vikings will be without two of their running backs.
According to K-TWIN Vikings Analyst Sean Jensen, Vikings players were informed that RB Adrian Peterson will not play against the Eagles.

Also the Vikings will be without backup running back Toby Gerhart, Jensen tweeted.
And #Vikings RB Toby Gerhart also not expected to play, which means lots of Matt Asiata and even Joe Banyard.

So the Vikings starting running backs for Sunday’s game will be Matt Asiata and Joe Banyard. Banyard was just signed off the practice squad this week.
Asiata, last season only had three carries for nine yards. At Utah, he rushed for 695 yards and eight touchdowns over his four year collegiate career.
Without AP and Gerhart, the Eagles’ defense should be able to stop the Vikings’ running game but the game is played on the field and not paper.
Remember the Eagles take on the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday at 1:00 pm ET on FOX.
