According to reports from Scout.com, Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly will miss the rest of the 2016 college football season with a torn ACL and meniscus suffered on Saturday against Georgia Southern.
The 4-5 Ole Miss Rebels have not met expectations this season and Chad Kelly has continually made the news for off-field happenings in Oxford, Mississippi. Despite that, Kelly threw for over 4,000 yards in 2015 after transferring to Ole Miss from Clemson with a stop at a community college in between.
This season, Kelly has thrown for 2,758 yards including 19 touchdowns and 9 intercepts which followed a 31 touchdown campaign in 2015. Kelly is draft eligible this year and his superior arm strength will surely tempt a team to draft him.
Ole Miss announces QB Chad Kelly has a torn ACL and lateral meniscus. He will have season-ending surgery.
