The Philadelphia 76ers have been making some noise at the tenth annual NBA D-League Showcase as they were meeting with Devin Ebanks and now have also met with Ty Walker according to RealGM.

The Sixers do have one roster spot open as they released center Daniel Orton yesterday and can fill that roster spot. If they fill that spot, they will have 15 players on the roster, which is the league maximum.

Walker is a big man standing at 7-feet and would definitely help the Sixers on the defensive side of things. In 16 games this season for the Maine Red Claws, he is averaging 27.5 minutes, 7.0 points, 3.7 blocks, and 8.3 rebounds per game.

In this afternoon’s game at the D-League Showcase against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, Walker scored 10 points and grabbed eight points in 26 minutes of game action.

Walker went undrafted in 2012 and played all four years at Wake Forest.
