With Philadelphia 76ers media day on Monday, September 29 and training camp not too long to follow, the team has made another signing towards its 2014-15 roster.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the Sixers have reached a deal with free agent guard Malcolm Lee.

Lee was drafted by the Chicago Bulls in the second round with the 43rd overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft. Over his short NBA career, Lee is averaging 4.0 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game. The last time he has played significant minutes in the NBA was the 2011-12 season with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

With the Timberwolves, Lee averaged 4.9 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 18.1 minutes per game. Lee also had D-League experience as he played for the Sioux Falls Skyforce in the 2011-12 season. In seven games with Sioux Falls, he averaged 10.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game.

This past season, Lee did not play but was apart of the Phoenix Suns-Washington Wizards trade that sent him, Shannon Brown, Marcin Gortat, and Kendall Marshall to the Wiz and in exchange Phoenix received Emeka Okafor and a 2014 first round pick.

Finally, with Lee not playing this past season he got a chance to prove himself in the summer league with the Toronto Raptors. With the Raptors in summer league, he only played in two games and averaged 2.0 points in 12.8 minutes per game.
