There were a lot of bad calls in Game 2 between the Blackhawks and Blues. One of those was the embellishment call on Robby Fabbri when he was cross-checked by Andrew Ladd. While fans pointed out how ridiculous the call was, one official reportedly claimed Fabbri was “folding like a card table” on the play.
Told referee on ice accused Fabbri of "Folding like a card table". One of oddest calls ever. Negated #stlblues PP https://t.co/7pb3mQXZtW

And a reminder of the play in question:

Keep in mind, this is what one official said after the game:
Dan O'Rourke who officiated Game 2: "Come in, get the obvious stuff, and let the players play, let them decide." Fail.

What was obvious about that?
This is one of those cases where the NHL doesn’t make much sense. How can the play be both embellishing and a cross-checking penalty? How can you possibly think Fabbri not only embellished, but acted so much that he was folding like a card table?
