The Sacramento Kings are adding another big man to their roster. According to Yahoo! Sports, they have come to terms on an agreement with veteran free agent Ryan Hollins. The deal is reportedly a one-year, fully-guaranteed contract.
The 29-year-old forward/center had been on the open market this summer after spending the last two seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers. Before joining the Sacramento Kings, Hollins had told Sirius XM radio last week that he had also been in talks with the Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls.
Hollins has played for six different teams in seven NBA seasons. Prior to the Los Angeles Clippers and the Sacramento Kings, the former UCLA big man enjoyed stints with the Charlotte Bobcats, Cleveland Cavaliers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Dallas Mavericks and Boston Celtics. Over the course of his seven-year career, Hollins has averaged 3.8 points, 2.2 rebounds and 0.5 blocks in roughly 12 minutes a game.
The Sacramento Kings’ addition of Hollins crowds an already packed front court. They now has seven bigs on its preseason roster.
