With Philadelphia Eagles’ training camp beginning next month, fans, media, and coaches will get a chance to see this newly constructed team that head coach Chip Kelly has put together. One player in particular, who has been under the microscope since this spring is quarterback Sam Bradford. Back in March, the Eagles traded for Bradford and in exchange sent quarterback Nick Foles to the St. Louis Rams. In the beginning of the summer, Bradford did not participate in team drills in OTAs
But that change will change next month as according to Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ.com, Bradford should be ready to go when training camp opens on August 2. This is fantastic news to hear because many Eagles fans were wondering what was going on with Bradford’s rehab and if Mark Sanchez was going to open up the regular season as the starting quarterback.
According to Shorr-Parks, a source close to the situation says that Bradford has been “looking great” when it comes to his rehab work this summer.
If Bradford stays healthy through the preseason and has a solid 2015 season, he could be in line for a huge payday. Earlier this week, NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reported that the quarterback will play out the final year on his six-year rookie contract.
