Report: Spurs took a look at McGrady

According to Yahoo! Sports, the San Antonio Spurs worked out Tracy McGrady who is currently seeking a guaranteed contract which he won't get with the Spurs.

McGrady is a seven-time All Star but after a strong, promising NBA career with the Raptors and Magic, he was beset with injuries which derailed his career. Last season he was with the Hawks and averaged 5.3 points, 2.1 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and shot 43% from the field in 52 games.

T-Mac is getting up in age at 33-years old, and with his history of injury (though he has been relatively injury free in recent seasons), the Spurs are best to pass on him. Not only are they set at forward spot with Stephen Jackson, and Kawhi Leonard, as mentioned before, McGrady is looking for a guaranteed contract next season. San Antonio can use that money for a center or a power forward.

Overall, this just sounds like San Antonio doing their due diligence but T-Mac just doesn't fit into what the team needs – mainly size in the paint.

What do you have to say Spurs fans about T-Mac and the Spurs?
