SI.com’s Jon Heyman is reporting that Mark Teixeira is about to sign with the New York Yankees for eight years, $180 million with a full no-trade clause.
The likely differences between the Red Sox final offer and the Yankees is no more than $10 million dollars and the no-trade clause. Whether or not there is an opt-out clause is unknown at this time.
