The first round of the 2016 NFL Draft is set to beginning tonight at 8:00 p.m. The Philadelphia Eagles have the second overall pick and all signs point to them taking North Dakota State quarterback Carson Wentz, unless the Los Angeles Rams shock the world and take him with the first overall pick.
With the Eagles set to take Wentz, current starting quarterback Sam Bradford is not happy and wants to be traded. One of the teams we thought who may be interested in trading for Bradford was the Denver Broncos. On Wednesday night, Mike Klis of 9News reported that the Broncos “are in” on Bradford.
But on Thursday morning, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Broncos do not expect the Eagles to trade Bradford to them or any team.
Denver does not expect Philadelphia to trade Sam Bradford to Broncos or to any team, per sources. Broncos now mulling other QB options.

This was always a possibility as the Broncos have their eyes on a quarterback in the first round of the draft. They are hoping Memphis quarterback Paxton Lynch falls to them or they could end up taking Michigan State’s Connor Cook.
In terms of the Eagles, this now leaves them in awkward situation as they are going to draft their franchise quarterback, while having a disgruntled Bradford. Something will have to give or change in the next few weeks for this possible quarterback situation to coexist. Bradford wants to be the guy somewhere else and not looking over his shoulder with the Eagles.
On Wednesday night, Zach Berman of the Philadelphia Inquirer tweeted that if the Eagles did trade Bradford, his new team would only have to pay him a $7 million salary, which is a deal.
As we gear up for the 2016 NFL Draft tonight, it will be interesting to see if the Eagles can find a trade partner for the disgruntled Bradford. If they cannot, then things could get very interesting over the summer.
