Jerry Rice, the greatest receiver of all time, is being inducted into the Hall of Fame this weekend. He universally acclaimed as possibly the best player ever.
So, in honor of Rice, today I offer a comparison of Rice’s pace of catches verses that of Marvin Harrison. This chart tells us two things:
- Harrison is better than some people remember. He was on a faster pace than Rice until he retired.
- Rice’s most incredible accomplishment was his longevity. The man just played at an impossibly high level for years and years.
