San Antonio Spurs draftee Ryan Richards has made it past the latest round of cuts for the Great Britain men’s national basketball team, bringing the roster to 13.
The team will make one more cut before they begin play in Eurobasket next week, competing in Group A against Lithuania, Turkey, Spain, Portugal and Poland.
Richards and Great Britain finished the London Invitational Tournament today with a loss against Spurs draftee Davis Bertans. Richards, who has played sparingly, chipped in one point, three rebounds and two assists in the final game.
Standing between a final spot on the team and being cut for Richards could be Austin Toros center Eric Boateng, who also plays center for Great Britain.
Great Britain will play Lithuania first on the first day of Eurobasket on Wednesday. Be sure to check back on Project Spurs to see if Richards makes the final roster and recaps of his games if he does make it.
