John Tortorella tells Dave Lozo at NHL.com that Brad Richards deserves most of the credit for his late season chemistry with Marian Gaborik…
“I think a lot of it has to do with Brad Richards’ game. I think Gabby is getting used to him a little where Gabby needs to give him the puck and not always have the puck. Then you just gain some confidence. I think their puck movement, especially the guy without the puck has been very good with them.”
Richards has assisted on five of Gaborik’s six goals since they were put together again.
…while you would have liked to have seen them create this chemistry earlier in the season, it might work out even better having them put it together heading into the playoffs.
…and don’t forget Hagelin, whose speed is opening up a lot of ice for his linemates.
