Rise and Grind – Gameday Edition

I love my view on Saturday mornings.

Morning Coug fans, and welcome to Gameday at the WSU Football Blog. Big shout out to our own Burning Snowman who is in Athens this morning waving the Coug flag high and proud. Well done! Today we get a little slice of the national spotlight as the Cougs take on #5 Stanford and more than a few reputable commentators have put the Card on upset alert. It looks like gale force winds and monsoon rains in Seattle today, and while that would tend to favor a team that runs the ball well, keep these things in mind: When Stanford does throw, they like to go deep off of play action, while we use more short quick throws. Also, weather has been one of the great field leveling conditions of all time in the history of sport. If you are the underdog, El Nino is usually your friend. With some huge matchups in SEC and Big 10 country today, is it possible for the Cougs to steal the national spotlight? We shall see!

All kinds of links out there this morning to get you all ready for todays huge game against the #5 Cardinal.
