New England rushed 34 times for 168 yards and two touchdowns Sunday.

The game went down to the final half-minute, but it continued a crippling seasonlong trend. When the Colts don’t stop the run, they don’t win.

They have yielded averages of 5.6 yards a rush and 198.5 yards a game in their four losses.

It’s not that they can’t play the run. The averages are 4.3 yards a carry and 95.5 yards a game in their six victories.
