What to watch

1. Who ends their losing streak?

After starting the season 33-10, the injury bug has slowed the power house Spurs.  Manu GinobiliKawhi LeonardDanny Green and Tiago Splitter are all down with injuries, making the Kings injury plight seem miniscule.  Sacramento has lost six straight and will most likely play without center DeMarcus Cousins for the sixth straight game.  Both teams need the win.  Sacramento is trying to avoid a season-high seven game losing streak, while San Antonio is about to begin a brutal nine game road trip.

2. Can Isaiah Thomas find his range?

Thomas is plugging away at nearly 20 points per game, but he has struggled from long range throughout the month of January.  After shooting 43 percent from 3-point range in December, he is hitting on just 32.7 percent to start 2014.  With Gay and Cousins missing games due to injury, Thomas has shot a season-high 6.7 shots per game from deep this month.  Now that Gay has returned and with Cousins almost back, Thomas will see a reduction in shots and most likely an increase in shooting percentage.

3. Can the Spurs slow down Rudy Gay?

Gay scored 35 points on 10-for-16 shooting against the Mavericks in just his second game back from a strained left Achilles.  With Leonard and Green ailing, the Spurs lack an elite perimeter defender.  Can Gay carry the load again for Sacramento?
