Elbert Mack is going into 2011 on the bubble, as he spent most of 2010 responsible for a lot of big plays by the other team via penalties and other reasons. Mack came to the Bucs with a lot of promise and played respectable in 2009, but with EJ Biggers and Myron Lewis playing well, Mack will need to come into ’11 camp ready to shine.
Mack played at Troy where he had more interceptions (8) than anyone in college that year.
Robert Malone was the Bucs 3rd punter last year. The drafted Brent Bowden did not last long, neither did Chris Bryan, but in came Malone and he punted well, with 41.5 yards average on 52 punts.
Malone should come into 2011 as the starter. He had 17 punts downed inside the 20, with only 5 touchbacks.
