Who Would You Pick to Play Roger Clemens?

Not to be outdone by the news that the Disney Channel is preparing a Mo’ne Davis biopic…Teddy Schwarzman (the dude behind “The Imitation Game”) has announced he’s planning a film based on the career of should-be Hall of Famer Roger Clemens.

Okay, okay, the story of the embattled seven-time Cy Young Award is by no means competition to that of Davis, but, man…can you think of two more opposite subjects to cover in the baseball world? Get your popcorn ready.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, “The Rocket” will focus on the latter half of the righty’s career and showcase his relationship with former trainer Brian McNamee and subsequent fall from grace. One also has to think that it’ll touch on Clemens’ forays in and out of the courtroom. As you might recall, the righty was found guilty on all six felony counts stemming from an incident where he lied in front of Congress.

Warner Brothers (with Bradley Cooper on board to produce and potentially star as Clemens) was also in the running to pick up the film, but lost out to Schwarzman’s Black Bar Pictures and their $2 million bid.

Now…the question of the day. Who would you cast as Clemens or, better yet, would you prefer the pitcher play himself?
