After nine months as a full-time competitor, Ronda Rousey’s WWE winning streak has ended. Rousey started her career teaming up with Kurt Angle at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans, Lousiana, against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. This match was positively received by many members of the WWE Universe, and many believe that this intergender tag match was the best one on the card.
As seen on Raw, Rousey teamed with Natalya to compete against the “Boss-Hug Connection” team of Sasha Banks and Bayley. The match finished with Banks forcing Natalya to tap out, causing Rousey and Natalya to lose. As a result, Rousey has officially ended her winning streak in the company.

While getting defeated in a tag match and not the one getting pinned could bring an argument of the streak ending, WWE did promote Asuka’s streak possibly ending during the Mixed Match Challenge leading up to WrestleMania 34.
Rousey’s momentum at WrestleMania led to a hotshot push to the top of the Raw women’s division, competing against Nia Jax at Money in the Bank, just two months after her in-ring debut.
The creativity of fate never ceases to amaze me… I do not take this responsibility lightly. I will devote every fiber of my being to carry on and elevate the legacy of the scores of women who gave their bodies and hearts to the @wwe to get us this far. #rawwomenschampionship pic.twitter.com/gUTMVDQyKO

In just her fourth match as a pro wrestler, Rousey defeated Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam to win the Raw Women’s Championship. Since then, Rousey has continued to win all of her bouts, being successful in key matches against Alexa Bliss at Hell in a Cell, Nikki Bella at Evolution, and Nia Jax at TLC.
Rousey still holds her singles winning streak intact, and she also has yet to be pinned or submitted. This steak is in jeopardy this coming Sunday at the Royal Rumble, as she defends her title against Sasha Banks.
