Five years after being drafted Nick Calathes finally makes the Rookie Team Of The Week
Without any further ado, here’s this weeks Rookie Team of the Week: Lottery Edition.
Nate Wolters- The Bucks point guard averaged 8 points, 4.5 assists, and 3.3 rebounds over their four-game week in just over 25 minutes per night. After a solid start to the regular season, the rookie from South Dakota St. has played very sporadically and sparingly for a while now, but it appears he may have worked himself back into the rotation now.
Nick Calathes- Already a solid contributor in limited minutes for the Grizzlies, Calathes stepped up big time for Memphis on Saturday night with Mike Conley out with a Grade-2 sprain in his right ankle, posting 22 points (8-12 FG, 4-5 3-pt FG), 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and a steal while committing zero turnovers in 40 minutes of play.
Tim Hardaway, Jr.- The New York shooting guard made the most of his opportunities this week, averaging 20 points per night in four games vs. LAL, BOS, CLE, MIA on 57% from the field (30-53 FG, 15-28 3-pt FG), exploding for a career-high 29 points (6-12 3-pt FG) vs. Cleveland on TNT Thursday night, and helped the Knicks win 3 of their 4 games during the week.
Ben McLemore– In the two games Rudy Gay missed this past week with an Achilles injury, the rookie from Kansas averaged 16 points, 6 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and a steal in 27 minutes per night for Sacramento.
Cody Zeller- In 17 minutes per game, Zeller contributed 6.7 points and 5.7 rebounds for the Bobcats, who went 2-1 this week with wins against the Nuggets and the Lakers despite being without Kemba Walker (ankle).
