It all comes down to this. The Brooklyn Nets and Toronto Raptors, currently tied at three games apiece, face off this Sunday afternoon in the first round’s fourth (of five) Game 7 to determine who will advance to the second round to take on the Miami Heat.

On this May 4th, Brooklyn hopes that the force will be with them, as they try to win their first playoff series as a team representing the Better Borough. In Game 6, which the Nets led by double digits for much of the game, they certainly looked like a team on a mission, as the younger and less experienced Raptors looked totally overwhelmed by a Brooklyn squad with as much talent as any team in the NBA.

Building off their 26-point failed comeback at the end of Game 5 into Friday’s Game 6, the Nets have played great basketball for the last 53 minutes of game time or so. In order to keep their postseason going on, Brooklyn needs more of that great play from Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Andray Blatche, etc to put away the Raptors, once and for all.

Probable Lineups

BKN- Deron Williams (PG), Alan Anderson (SG), Joe Johnson (SF), Paul Pierce (PF), Kevin Garnett (C)

TOR- Kyle Lowry (PG), DeMar DeRozan (SG), Terrence Ross (SF), Amir Johnson (PF), Jonas Valanciunas (C)

Final Thoughts

This is it. If the Nets lose this game, they go home. If they win, they go to Miami to start a second round series with the Heat on Tuesday night. Hopefully, South Beach, and not New York, is the Nets’ destination.
