Rutgers stormed out of the gate by winning their first seven games of the season but since then they've gone 2-3 losing to Kent State and Pitt. Rutgers has a very strong defense (14 ppg allowed) but accompany that with an offense that doesn't put up many points. Rutgers threw 15 INTs this year in 12 games but 9 of those came in their three losses. This game is pretty simple for Rutgers. If they protect the football, they should win.

The Hokies had a very disappointing season finishing just 6-6. When you look at the Hokies, the best team they've beaten this year was Georgia Tech and that was at the beginning of the season. They are also 0-2 against the Big East this season. The Hokies did win their last two but only by three points against Virginia and by seven points in OT against a bad Boston College team. Virginia Tech actually lost the turnover margin battle for the season (-4) and in their last five games finished at -5. Advantage Rutgers.

This game looks like it's going to be an ugly game that won't feature many points but sometimes crazy things happen in the bowls. If I was a betting man, this is a game I would stay away from.
