Everybody is guessing what the Redskins will do with Robert Griffin III. Ryan Clark visited ESPN’s First Take and says Redskins interest in Marcus Mariota — if that’s even true — spells the end of RGIII’s time in Washington.
Other highlights:
Daniel Snyder is a supportive owner who places his full trust in his decision makers and does everything they ask him to do to build a winner. I have never heard a player criticize the owner. Fans looking at bottom line results do not see Snyder as an effective owner.
Mariota has a similar skill set to Griffin’s. If the Redskins draft him, the coaching staff must adapt their system to their strengths…much as the Shanahan’s did in 2012.
We agree, but have already said that Jay Gruden isn’t going to do it. Maybe Bill Callahan and Matt Cavanaugh can change that, but Hog Heaven will believe it when he sees it. We hope to see it with or without Mariota.
Jameis Winston’s play style is a better fit to Gruden’s system than Mariota. The Buccaneers are likely to select Winston with their No. 1 overall pick. He will not fall to the Redskins, but Mariota might.
