And today, which is a Saturday and Day 13 of the FIVB Women’s World Volleyball Championship, five of the six teams advancing to Round 3 of the Women’s World Championship have clinched their spot in Milan.
In Pool E, China, Italy, and Dominican Republic have guaranteed their advancement although the first and second place winners will be determined by tomorrow’s head to head meeting between China and Italy. Dominican Republic will finish third.
In Pool F, USA and Brazil have secured positions in Round 3, although the first and second place winners here will be determined by a head to head meeting between these two teams. Either Serbia or Russia will finish third and advance, depending on who wins their head to head match up.
I have highlighted the three matches in red which will determine the final positions on the match schedule below. Round 3 will begin in Milan on Wednesday, October 8 (Day 16).
