Sacramento Kings fans are at it again. They’re working to fill up next week’s “Here We Buy Night 2” game at Sleep Train Arena while simultaneously pushing a charitable cause.
This morning, they launched a new donation drive to buy tickets to the March 24th match-up between the Kings and Philadelphia 76ers for underprivileged youth and their families. Kings fans Kevin Fippin and Ed Montes are spearheading the charge. The two helped organize the last effort that raised close to $10,000, which sent 626 young Kings fans and their families to the Feb. 9th game against the Utah Jazz.
The proceeds will go to a personal paypal account which we will then transfer to a personal bank account. EVERY penny raised will be used to purchase tickets for Sunday’s game. We will then purchase hard copies of tickets from the arena box office personally. Those tickets will be distributed to the organizations we will be working with, who will then in turn make sure the tickets get into the right hands. We’ve provided an HTML button (below this post) you can use to select how many tickets you’d like to donate at a flat rate. Please keep in mind, you do not need a paypal account to donate. The embedded HTML button will allow you to pay with credit or debit cards, in addition to an existing paypal account. You can also send donations directly to [email protected] via paypal.
They’re accepting a minimum donation of $18.30, which is the cost of a single ticket to the Mar. 24th game. A number of the seats purchased this time around will be given to kids from the Make-A-Wish Foundation. They’re also working in conjunction with former King Donte Greene‘s Circle of Success Foundation as well as 3Fold Communications, a Sacramento-based marketing agency.
