Matthew Berry of ESPN.com teamed up with Eric Karabell and Mike Clay to compile a list of the top 300 fantasy football players going into 2016. I thought you’d be interested in knowing where the Saints players landed.
The Saints in the top 300 were:
18. Mark Ingram, RB
26. Brandin Cooks, WR
68. Drew Brees, QB
92. Coby Fleener, TE
97. Willie Snead, WR
113. Michael Thomas, WR
200. Tim Hightower, RB
206. C. J. Spiller, RB
282. Daniel Lasco, RB
I have to say Brees and Fleener feel a little low to me. Fleener is the 6th ranked tight end, which feels about right, though. Brees is the 5th ranked quarterback behind Russell Wilson and Andrew Luck – I’m not sure I buy that.
Michael Thomas was a nice surprise at 113, he’s clearly on people’s radars as a sleeper. Meanwhile, Spiller’s value has plummeted to an all time low and he might represent a decent late round flyer if he can bounce back.
