Hi all! Before the season… if you would have said: “The Saints will only win 3 home games in 2014” … That would have been bold.
If you would have said: “…AND the Saints will win 4 road games in 2014” … That would have been bold.
If you would have said: “The Saints end 7-9 and will be 2nd in the division” … That would have been bold.
I myself have a bit of a bold prediction I made somewhere.. Right after the Panthers Tie vs the Bengals I said: “So the Saints are gonna be 8-8 and be out of the playoffs because of a 8-7-1 Panthers team…” Ok. Substract 1 W from both teams. And I was right…. slightly. Because the Panthers would have been the #1 in the division with a 7-9 record too since they beat the Saints on tie-breakers.
Our bold predictions last week.. I was right since I predicted a Saints win… Not bold you think? Have you watched the first 50 minutes of this last game? Saints had no business winning this, and in the end they lost about 6 places in Draft Picks… Think about that when the Falcons snatch the guy you wanted to play for the Saints… Again… Goody did play and PT did not as he was on IR (prediction made before he went though). The other 3 guys did play all/most of the game. No idea why.
You guys contributing had a good try… But CharlieB721 was not right. I did NOT see 45 players on the side of the Saints, just a few… maybe… though they did wear something resembling an NFL uniform. (<– Awesome bold prediction right there).
Well that was it… I loved you guys contributing each week. We love your involvement and hope you liked this section that was new this season just as much as we did. Lets hope next year it is even more fun, because, sometimes it is really hard to write something when your team is playing like they did this year. I am glad I am not the one doing the grading (nor am I hardly qualified).t I will do my best to make it a good new year. If you guys here have anything to add, any idea’s just write in the comment section, or get in touch with me on twitter (@monedula_).
Also I would like to thank our contributors this year. Andrew Juge (@saintsnationblg), Neer Shah (@neershah9), Andrew Doyle (@_AndrewDoyle_) and Brian Pavek (@kirus16). Follow them on twitter and be sure to read the rest of the blog where they all make at least a post or 2 during the off-season. I myself will post something as well.
Be sure to check for the bold predictions next pre-season. See you all there!
