I am SHOCKED not more bold predictions came true this week then did. This was a game that has been the worst since the bye week. No way but up!? We kinda forgot about a lateral move. The Saints continued to be as good as they were since Q2 vs the Redskins when Ryan’s future was a 100% certainty no longer at the Saints organisation.
So who was bold enough to say something in the direction of absolute doom? Patrick was right there; Brees did not get decapitated by Watt though he got sacked twice and once forced intentional grounding. So that is pretty accurate. Also Browned got matched up with Hopkins, but he did not commit a penalty on him. As far as I go.. I called a terrible game by Brees. It was not that terrible as Mannings, but it was gruesome.
Special mention needs to go to our optimist CharlieB721, who thought there would be 0 sacks on Brees, and our pessimist cabletonka who had Matt Flynn throwing 3 INTs.
Next to all the bad news, Andrew called the INT by Byrd spot on! I would not be surprised if he calls a defensive score this week.
So for this week; for me there are 2 things I hate. Cam Newton and people who use a nom de plume. If you listen to the Saints Nation Podcast (which you should) you kinda know what this is about ;-). Anyway I am going full hate on Cam here. What else is there?
Andrew:
- Saints get 3 personal fouls on Cam Newton.
- Saints offense fails to score TD for second straight game.
[That is 11 straight quarters without a TD people!]
Brian:
- Drew Brees beans strief with the ball after a sack.
- Newton gets dropped dead being a clown.
[I think Brian is my main source for the Newton hatred. He has thought me well.]
Patrick O'(not really):
- Cam sprains his wrist on his 11th superman celebration.
[If he is out for the season… I’ll take it!] - Payton watches the game from the booth and is seen on TV eating a hotdog.
[Boy will you look stupid when it is a hamburger instead ;-)]
Marijn:
- Cam Newton gets picked off/loses a fumble at least 3 times.
- He does not finish the game.
