Saints Nation Bold Predictions – Panthers – Week 3

I think the Saints finally figured out that the season has started. And that was in Q4. A bit too late to win this game. I liked the defense and I liked the game, except for the loss. As to bold predictions, we have some “bold” predictions that were correct. Colston was the leading receiver and he is not a Running Back. Also the Saints did get a Sack. Patrick is 2 for 2. Maybe next week he will say the Saints limit their turnovers to somewhere under 5 and Brees will throw for over 300 yards.

Thank you for your contributions. Though some set the ball pretty low we only had 1 other contribution that came true. CharlieB721 predicted the Saints would get a couple of Sacks (3) and a turnover (2).

Here are this weeks bold predictions.

Andrew:

1. Luke McCown throws for at least 2 touchdowns (For the record I made this prediction on 9/20 before any injury report or news of Brees’ shoulder health)
2. Cam Newton throws a pick six with under 2 minutes left and the lead to blow the game for Panthers. To make this even crazier I’ll say the pick 6 is done by Akiem Hicks.

Brian:

1. Saints will force more turnovers than score points.
2. Saints will have less than 7 injuries.

Patrick:

1. Saints will field a defense.
   [Sure but what kind of a defense?]
2. The back up generator will be ready to go.
   [I guess that means the lights go out? Is it not in Carolina? Ah well there can be more then one stadium dealing with power problems] 

Marijn:

1. Byrd returns and gets an INT (Since he did not start last weeks I put this here again).
2. Last game the Saint defense forced back-to-back turnovers. This week the Saints offense will have back-to-back turnovers.
