Meet Jake Ingram (pictured) as your newest Saint and long snapper. Jason Kyle has been placed on injured reserve with an apparent shoulder injury. This is the first I’ve heard of Kyle being injured, but if he’s not ready to go for the game tomorrow it makes sense that the Saints would shelve him, because there is no way they are taking up two roster spots on a long snapper when they’ve had so many cornerbacks and running backs injured. We’ll have to hope that Jake Ingram can be as reliable. Since taking over for Kevin Houser, Kyle hasn’t missed a single snap. Sure some have been a little off from time to time, but by and large he’s been close to perfect. Sometimes we take long snappers for granted with their reliability and accuracy. Hopefully we’ll be able to do the same with Ingram. Ingram is a product of Hawaii and he was previously with the New England Patriots.
