Not much to talk about today so I’m giving you the more interesting pieces of Saints reading material that I’ve come across in the past day or so.
See below:
Forbes wrote an interesting piece about how the Saints are the NFL’s biggest headache.
The NFL has now discredited their video in which they previously claimed to have audio of Anthony Hargrove’s voice incriminating him. You wonder if Hargrove’s suspension might be lifted as a result?
Surprisingly, that is now the second piece of bad evidence that Roger Goodell has admitted to. He’s yet to admit that the NFL mischaracterized to the media an email from Mike Ornstein, which they led people to believe was sent directly to Sean Payton. Does Joe Vitt’s suspension possibly get reduced as well? Doubtful.
The Sporting News writes an article that we’ve already seen a dozen times that says it’s time to put bounty gate in the past. Trust me dude, we’re trying to. It’s the media and the ongoing saga that won’t let us. The article also looks at the Saints in training camp, some good stuff in there.
This article dives into the complex and ongoing Drew Brees negotiations.
It’s suggested quite passively that Terrell Owens could make sense for the Saints on NFL.com. What a joke.
Eric Karabell of ESPN (insider) talks about the Saints’ offense of 2012 and if we can expect to see a dip in performance.
Lastly, Saints’ camp body LB Lawrence Wilson has been suspended for the first game of the season for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. He was previously released by the Panthers for getting caught with marijuana. Sounds like a real winner. Expect him to be gone in short order.
Enjoy the reading material and have a good weekend!
