A largely overlooked but important piece of the special teams puzzled was resolved today when Justin Drescher, the Saints' current long snapper, was locked up for four years. It's a modest deal, I'm sure, probably averaging less than $1 million per season. Here's the confirmation from the man himself:
Back for 4 more years! Thanks for all well wishes and support #Whodatnation Y'all are the best fans in the game! #WhoDat

Drescher was a non-tendered restricted free agent, mostly because the Saints didn't want to invest the non cap friendly one year deal in him when they could lock him up more long term to a deal that is easier on their currently tight financial status. Welcome back #47!
