CBS Sports’ writer Pete Prisco has released the top 50 free agents for this offseason. Before you get too excited, the Saints won’t be landing Nnamdi Asomugha. That said, many of the other guys on this list could easily be moving destinations. Based on the Saints’ current cap situation, I don’t expect them to make a play for many of these guys, if any.
You’ll notice that featured on this list are Jermon Bushrod at #35 and Lance Moore at #40. I’m personally very surprised that Roman Harper and Jonathan Goodwin didn’t make this list.
So which guys would I like to see the Saints make a play for?
Well first of all, because they’re going to be so cash strapped, I don’t see them being able to shell out a huge contract to a big name. That said, I’d like to see them bring Lance Moore back first and foremost. LB Stephen Tulloch would be a huge addition based on the lack of experience at linebacker. I wonder if the Saints will sign any players on this list?
