Pierre Thomas and Roman Harper have both been made inactive for today’s game and will not play vs. Carolina. Stepping in for Thomas will be Ladell Betts as the starter, and for Harper it will be veteran Pierson Prioleau. Due to Thomas being out, the Saints have also signed running back DeShawn Wynn and released cornerback Leigh Torrence (pictured). I’m sure Torrence will be brought back soon, potentially as soon as right after the game. Chris Ivory will play, but he is banged up, so I imagine Ladell Betts will get the lion share of the carries today. There’s a couple key players missing from the lineup today, and of course add to that the fact that Reggie Bush is still unlikely to return before at least a few weeks.
