The following nine players have also been released to finalize the 53 man roster:
LB Nate Bussey
LB Clint Ingram
WR Andy Tanner
CB Terrail Lambert
C Cecil Newton
QB Sean Canfield
LS Kyle Nelson
TE Michael Higgins
RB Chris Taylor
DT Swanson Miller
These are the 53 players who have made the team. Remember, the Saints can also make a move for a released player, so I wouldn’t count on these 53 necessarily being the guys on the roster in time for the Packers game Thursday.

DE Will Smith is reserve suspended for 2 games and RB Chris Ivory is on the PUP.
The biggest surprise for me is that the Saints only kept two tight ends, though they’ll be using Charles Brown as a blocking tight end and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them add another off the waiver wire. Another big surprise to me was Ramon Humber making the roster. I guess the Saints liked what he offered on special teams more so than Nate Bussey. A big surprise was Isa Abdul-Quddus, too, the lone undrafted rookie free agent to make the team. None of us saw that one coming. Lastly, the biggest disappointment for me was Hartley’s injury costing someone a roster spot. Carrying 2 kickers on the active squad is a crime.
