Saints Nation: Saints Sign Receiver Mark Bradley

Saints Nation: Saints Sign Receiver Mark Bradley The Saints have signed receiver Mark Bradley to compete with an already extremely deep receiver core. I thought that was a very interesting move, to say the least, based on how good the receivers were doing. With Robert Meachem still on the sidelines, though, I guess there’s an opportunity for Bradley to get some reps. The way I see it, Marques Colston, Devery Henderson, Lance Moore and Meachem are all guaranteed roster spots. Courtney Roby, too, is the Saints’ best gunner and kick return man, so you have to figure he’s a shoe in. That leaves Mark Bradley to compete with Adrian Arrington and Rod Harper for the 6th and likely final receiver roster spot. That’s if they even decide to keep six. With the heavy rotations the team has at that position, I think six is realistic. With the kind of camp Harper is having especially, though, it’ll be tough for Bradley to unseat him. Bradley’s best season as a pro came in 2008 when he caught 30 passes and 3 touchdowns for the Kansas City Chiefs. The 5 year pro also spent some time with the Chicago Bears during his career. It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out. No word yet on who the Saints released to make room for him.
