I'm done with the Saints. Honestly, giving up their third round pick for a RECEIVER is bad enough, proving that Sean Payton has completely fallen off the deep end, but to overspend on Roddy White of all people makes it criminal. The Saints also gave up a 2nd round 2014 pick in addition to land the prolific receiver's services. White has to be my least favorite player in the NFL, and for him to come to the Saints and wear a black and gold jersey is more painful than any 1-15 season could ever be. I'm really not sure what possessed the Saints' brass to add a player that had these things to say about them, but I guess the talent was too good to pass up. Still, the Saints and White have a lot of history and White hasn't really been able to take his losses like a man. Most surprising to me is the Saints are willing to overlook some irresponsible comments he made, namely "The grace of god gave them tht championship so tht city wouldn fall apart now and now they think they hot [obscenity]." Hard to believe we now have to root for this idiot. Ugh. To make matters worse, the Saints released Marques Colston in order to make the cap room work based on the addition of White's significant contract. Even if you overlook the bad blood and White's immature behavior, giving up a 3rd round pick this year, and 2nd round pick next year, AND giving up on Marques Colston just doesn't really feel like a worthwhile move to me.
APRIL FOOL'S!!!!!!!!! Hahahaha. Hopefully at least one of you fell for this? This is actually Saints Nation's 4th birthday today, so I want to thank all of you for being so supportive of the site and making this endeavor so personally rewarding for me. And lucky for us, the Saints would never bring in trash like Roddy White over a model citizen like Marques Colston. That's why we're the good guys. Who dat and GEAUX SAINTS!
