At this point it’s hardly even news anymore, but the Saints have sold out all the seats in the Superdome for the 6 straight season. Tom Benson better lobby for this lockout to end if he wants to rake in all the cash he’ll get from the turnouts. It’s pretty remarkable that the smallest market in the NFL has been able to rebound from the worst natural disaster in American history to generate the income necessary to fill a 70,000 capacity stadium every single Sunday. It proves, yet again, that the passion Saints fans have is like none other. That’s a testament to all of you and the commitment you have to your team. It’s part of what makes it so easy to love the Saints, they may be underdogs from a financial and market perspective, but the passion of their fanbase and commitment of the city proves that you can overcome those disadvantages and still be incredibly successful. Pretty cool.
