The New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are out of the playoff chase heading into Week 17, but there is still some pride on the line. The two teamed up for 68 points in a thriller the last time out in New Orleans, and neither will want to cap their disappointing season with a loss.
With no playoff implications in this game, fans can understandably find Saints vs. Buccaneers tickets for just $104 on average this week (as well as pay just $37 to get in the door). Regardless of the weight of this matchup, though, it’s still a heated NFC South rivalry game. The last meeting provided an offensive explosion and a game that went down to the wire, so fans know there’s a decent chance Buccaneers and Saints tickets are a killer deal this week.
New Orleans had high hopes entering 2014, as many even had them pegged as a legit Super Bowl contender. Sean Payton’s bunch failed to live up to expectations, though, and stumble into Week 17 at 6-9 and out of the playoff discussion. They still have a chance to finish 7-9 and try to build momentum for next year, however, and a trip to Tampa Bay could also give them a clean sweep of the Buccaneers.
Saints fans looking for one final viewing of their team should make sure to check out Hipmunk for all their travel options, including New Orleans to Tampa flights. In addition, you can find Tampa hotels at Hipmunk for as little as $80 and there are seven different hotel options with room rates below $100.
While the Buccaneers appear to be much worse than the Saints in paper, they surely gave Drew Brees and company a fight in New Orleans back in Week 5. Vincent Jackson was a handful with 144 yards on eight receptions, and things could get even more difficult with rookie sensation Mike Evans busting out as one of the better young receivers in the league. With the 31st overall defense in the league, the Saints will have their hands full yet again when they meet up with the Bucs on Sunday.
Another shootout can probably be expected with both of these defenses ranking near the bottom of the league, and if McCown can take care of the football, he just might be able to do enough to even the season series and get the Bucs to 3-13.
