Curtis Lofton’s time as a Saint is over. The release doesn’t come as a complete shock given the rumored news he was being shopped for a trade, but prior to that I would have never guessed the Saints would let him go this offseason. To me he was the one guy you would keep on that defense. I’ll wait to see how they build the roster before making full judgment on this, but at first glance like the Darren Sproles trade it’s very disappointing.
