The Saints need help at receiver, this much we know. They couldn’t go into the season with Brandin Cooks, Willie Snead and Brandon Coleman as their top three with no one of note behind them. We knew with all the cap space they were freeing up they were possibly getting ready to sign someone and wide receiver was a possible position of need. But man, Roddy White? The Saints have reportedly agreed to a 3 year deal for $19 million with White. That’s a substantial amount of coin for a declining 34 year old receiver. I would have preferred to keep Marques Colston, honestly. And this is made all the worse that it’s probably the most hated player on the most bitter rival of the last decade. I’m glad they added depth at receiver and all but what was Mickey Loomis thinking?
APRIL FOOL’S! Today marks Saints Nation’s birthday but I couldn’t even tell you what number we’re at. 8? 10? 15? Marijn would probably know better than me. Hard to believe this blog still exists after all these years. It’s still fun, though! Thanks to all of you that engage with it and support it in any fashion.
