Saints tickets 33% above average for Packers game

The New Orleans Saints have quite a test on their hands in Week 8, as they welcome Aaron Rodgers and the high-flying Green Bay Packers to town. It’s a classic matchup of two of the game’s best quarterbacks, guiding two of the league’s most potent offenses. These Saints/Packers clashes almost always yield a ton of points, and with the Saints defense not living up to expectations this year, that will undoubtedly be the case again.

With a huge showdown with major point potential set up under the lights of Sunday Night Football, New Orleans Saints tickets will have a premium on the secondary market 33% above the home season average. The current average price for Saints vs Packers tickets is $297 with a get-in price of $103.

It makes sense that Saints fans would have to pay a decent amount to get in the door for this one, but they’ll hopefully be rewarded with a huge win. Green Bay certainly isn’t going to come into town and suddenly not know how to play offense, though, so it’s going to take a concerted effort from a so far lethargic Saints defense. Whether that’s masterful planning by defensive coordinator Rex Ryan or the players just executing better than the visiting Packers, something needs to click.

While the defense is troubling, the location of this SNF contest isn’t. The Saints are 0-4 and have been a very shaky team on the road this year, but are 2-0 on their dome floor and have looked reasonably good in the process. We know Drew Brees and the offense is going to do their part in front of the home crowd. The  offense may slightly miss Pierre Thomas (out with injury) and it would be ideal if stud tight end Jimmy Graham (shoulder) was actually 100%, but one way or another the Saints will be putting up points. Whether or not they win this game and get to 3-4 by the end of Week 8, however, may rest on what their defense can or cannot get done.
