For the third time in three seasons, the Santa Cruz Warriors, the D-League affiliate of the Golden State Warriors, will make a trip to the NBDL’s Finals, for the second straight year against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, who happen to have former Golden State guard Jordan Crawford on their roster.

From 2012-Present, the “Sea Dubs” have compiled a regular season record of 96-54 (.640). In 2012-13, the club was swept 2-0 in the three-game Finals series by the Rio Grand Valley Vipers. Last season Fort Wayne, a team whom carries thirteen NBA affiliations, did the exact same thing, 2-0 over the Warriors.

Yesterday, the NBA D-League handed out its All-D-League team awards. Aaron Craft, who was earlier named D-League Defensive Player Of The Year, was named to the First Team All-Defense.

James Michael McAdoo, who was signed and recalled by Golden State, was named along with fellow Santa Cruz guard Elliot Williams to the All-D-League Second Team. McAdoo was also named to the All-Rookie First Team.

Center Ognjen Kuzmic and forward Dominique Sutton were also named to the All-Defensive 3rd team.

“Despite who has been in the lineup, this team keeps winning and has fun doing it,” Kevin Danna, the D-League Warriors’ play-by-play broadcaster, told LetsGoWarriors. “Really good team chemistry, the togetherness of this group — there has been so much upheaval with guys going overseas, call-ups and season ending injuries.”

Head coach Casey Hill echoed Danna.

“Our team has been through quite a bit this season,” Hill said in an interview with LetsGoWarriors. “We have experienced a vast amount of roster shake-ups that could have distracted our players from their focus. They have earned this opportunity by holding steady all season long and I’m proud to have been a part of it all.”
