Posting on a Saturday night is above and beyond the call of duty, but that’s what Neil Best of Newsday did tonight. He first posted that for Monday, WFAN had not made public a morning show host fueling rumors that not only Don Imus could be coming back, but Dan Patrick was also in the mix. Then a few hours later, Best made this post that Joe Benigno and Evan Roberts would be the host du jour on Monday. However, Best made it clear that he was working on the Dan Patrick to WFAN rumors. I don’t think Westwood One/CBS Radio would make that move simply because ESPN would block that move unless the people at CBS cough up a lot of cash to buy Dan out. It’s interesting, but I don’t think it would happen.
