Saturday recap

Today is the day where things seemed to finally fire up across the NHL playoffs. We’ll talk more about what happened in Brooklyn tonight tomorrow morning, but for now, let’s just reflect on what happened at the beginning of the weekend.

SCOREBOARD
New York Rangers 3, Pittsburgh 2 – JT Miller tallied 3 assists for the Rangers and Phil Kessel, noted worthless do nothing from Toronto, scored twice for the Penguins. Alas, Kessel’s teammates were the do nothings, and scored the victory. (Series tied)

Washington 4, Philadelphia 1 – Braden Holtby is, rfor the moment, completely impenetrable. (WAS leads 2-0)

Dallas 2, Minnesota 1 – The Wild are on a 7 game losing streak right now, but at least they’ve now scored a goal! (DAL leads 209(

San Jose 2, Los Angeles 1  The Sharks took both games in Los Angeles if you thought you knew anything. Joe Pavelski had a hand in both Shark goals (SJ leads 2-0)
