Saturday Scoreboard…. Datsyuk won’t stop

For Valentine’s day, the current legend playing for the Red Wings (there is always one) brought his fans a nice stone. A milestone (see what I did there?) He scored his 900th point today in a slugfest with the Boston Bruins. That’s not bad, I would say. Congratulations to the Russian stud, and perhaps the best Russian to play in Detroit since Sergei Fedorov.

SCOREBOARD
New Jersey 2, Philadelphia 1 (OT) – This game needed to hurry up. Don’t they know snow is on the way?

Boston 4, Minnesota 2 – Mike Yeo was canned after this game. After the raging Dumpster fire that this season was…. Yeah, that makes sense.

Carolina 6, New York Islanders 3 – Doubled up by the Hurricanes is no way to go through life.

Toronto 5, Vancouver 2 – The Leafs are flying higher now that Phaneuf isn’t weighing them down.

Nashville 5, Florida 0 – This is not befitting a playoff team. Unless you are the Sharks, then all bets are off.

Columbus 4, Ottawa 2 – Not what you expected, eh?

Dallas 4, Washington 3 – Even Superman needs a day off some times.

Anaheim 3, Chicago 2 (OT) – The admirable thing about the Ducks is that they have seemingly stopped going into extended tailspins Impressive.

Winnipeg 2, Edmonton 1 (SO) – The Oilers of all teams should never EVER lose games to the Jets, especially in shootouts.

San Jose 4, Arizona 1 – I took a dig at San Jose earlier in this very post. Well done, Sharks. I’ve been put in my place.
