Here’s a quick look around the web at tonight’s Game four. I’ll be back later tonight with more blather.
- Despite a win in Game three, Out of Left Field is not getting too confident:
“Still, without meaning to sound too bleak, and only to curb the enthusiasm of many faithful in the aftermath of the Ottawa Citizen‘s Wayne Scanlan stopping just short of declaring a “McArthur Park Cakewalk” Cup win for Ottawa today, remember that the Senators are facing the most daunting of tasks of having to win three of the next four games, two of which would be on the West Coast.
The Ducks are bound to be extra-motivated tonight, not to mention “smarting,” having received a very rude awakening on Saturday night before being jolted with yesterday’s off-ice drama involving Chris Pronger‘s suspension for Game 4.”
- Dean McAmmond will be a gametime decision, but it doesn’t look too good for him. McAmmond has a history of concussions, and the newest hit on his noggin could have a lasting effect. The more concussions you have, the longer it can take to return to the ice.
- As you probably know, Chris Pronger will not play tonight. Alan Muir thinks he got off easy.
- Some folks in the San Diego area couldn’t see the end of G3 because NBC cut it off for Wheel of Fortune in HD. The whole TV situation has basically degenerated into a game of ‘what can NBC show instead of hockey?’
- The Ducks are ‘crying poor’ and the FanHouse thinks it’s all a bunch of baloney.
- And for those of you who get your hockey coverage from Al-Jazeera, you’re going to be missing out on those exclusive post game interviews.
