Schefter: Redskins Jordan Reed to miss Cardinals game. Me: So? HTTR!

There was a time when injury to a major star would trigger an existential crises for the Washington Redskins. But that was the bad old days when Daniel Snyder and his henchmen believed that fielding a major star and 10 other guys was the secret to winning.

Not now.

When Adam Schefter tweets that Washington’s ace tight end Jordan Reed will miss the next game, the first thought of Redskins fans everywhere is, Vernon Davis can fill in for a game or two. We’ll be fine.

The Redskins are 2-1 in the absence of Pro Bowl LT Trent Williams because GM Scot McCloughan acquired depth.

It’s football. Injuries (and suspensions) happen. We are ready.

Resilience! A word that has not applied to the Redskins in this century.

McCloughan, or whomever he’s fronting for, has only made one bad bet. That was to lowball Kirk Cousins on a long-term deal. Schefter says that gamble will cost the Redskins big time.
